It may sound like a lot of work, but it's really quite easy. We promise! We even made a step by step video to walk you through the process. Let's get started!
FILL a bucket, large pot or sink with cool water. Anything will do. You just need something large enough so the labels are under water when the bottle is submerged.
ADD 1/4 cup of Baking Soda to the water and stir to dissolve. *If doing more than two bottles at a time, add 3-5 tablespoon per additional bottle
SOAK for 30 minutes. After the first 30 minutes, many labels will simply fall off in the water. We recommend testing the label with a razor blade* to see if it will scrape off easily. If you find the labels are not coming off easily, let the bottles soak another 30 minutes to an hour. For pesky adhesive, you may need to soak the labels overnight.
Once the existing labels have started to dissolve, SCRAPE off any remaining label and any sticky residue by scrubbing with a hot sponge and a drop of dish soap. If you find that the label has especially sticky residue, we recommend using a baby wipe, peanut butter, window clean, or goo gone to remove any of the extra adhesive left on the bottle.
DRY off your bottle and get ready to add your new labels!
